INGREDIENTS

1 poundpork (pre-cut meat for slow-cooker / pulled pork)
1 canbeer (your favorite!)
1 teaspoonchili powder
1 teaspoonminced dry onions
1 teaspoongarlic powder
1 teaspoonmustard powder
1 teaspoonasafoetida powder
2 clovesfresh garlic minced
1onion (chopped/sliced in small pieces)
2green bell peppers (chopped/sliced in small pieces)

DIRECTIONS

  • Step 1 Set the slow cooker to High.
  • Step 2 Mix all ingredients in the slow cooker and add the pork. Place the lid on the slow cooker.
  • Step 3 Cook pork on High for 1 hour. Reduce slow cooker heat to Low and cook for another 8 hours.
  • Step 4 Remove pork from the slow cooker (separate from the juice) and shred with two forks before serving with rice, potatoes or bred.

Note: You can also stir-fry the shredded pork further with your favorite sauce (sriracha aioli, barbecue sauce, …), but check the sodium content of those sauces… Stay on a low salt diet!
