INGREDIENTS
1 pound | pork (pre-cut meat for slow-cooker / pulled pork) |

1 can | beer (your favorite!) |
1 teaspoon | chili powder |
1 teaspoon | minced dry onions |
1 teaspoon | garlic powder |
1 teaspoon | mustard powder |
1 teaspoon | asafoetida powder |
2 cloves | fresh garlic minced |
1 | onion (chopped/sliced in small pieces) |
2 | green bell peppers (chopped/sliced in small pieces) |
DIRECTIONS
- Step 1 Set the slow cooker to High.
- Step 2 Mix all ingredients in the slow cooker and add the pork. Place the lid on the slow cooker.
- Step 3 Cook pork on High for 1 hour. Reduce slow cooker heat to Low and cook for another 8 hours.
- Step 4 Remove pork from the slow cooker (separate from the juice) and shred with two forks before serving with rice, potatoes or bred.
Note: You can also stir-fry the shredded pork further with your favorite sauce (sriracha aioli, barbecue sauce, …), but check the sodium content of those sauces… Stay on a low salt diet!
